S.S. Badger to arrive in Sturgeon Bay for 5-Year Survey

The historic steamer Badger, a car ferry that travels across Lake Michigan between Ludington, MI, and Manitowoc, WI, during the summer months, will be towed to Sturgeon Bay by Selvick Marine Towing tugs sometime after November 15. The 410-foot ferry will be drydocked for her 5-year survey, as well as freshening up. Her two, 13-foot 10-inch propellers will be removed for cleaning as well.

With my busy school schedule, I don’t know if I will be able to get to Sturgeon Bay for some photos, but I will certainly try.
